Hollywood. Money talks.

Why does there need to be a remake?

Why do Hollywood studios need to make guaranteed cash cows? This isn't a bunch of dreamers sitting around making art for art's sake. This is highly controlled and studied and target audience and marketing and focus group-driven INDUSTRIAL movie-making.

It's money. It's big business where only a tiny tiny part of your movie ticket actually goes to the director and the actors. It's why a sequel is a sure bet. It's why you will go see that sequel. It's why the kids will scream if they don't get to see Toy Story 12.
