Paki. Terror. Etc.

There is little doubt in my mind that Pakistan and India have both been involved in some sordid nasty stuff over the last few decades. India does nasty things to its own people, and various whatevers have been happening in Kashmir for a while now. I wouldn't doubt that some of India's semi-official security/intel apparatus has had a hand in some stuff inside Pakistan. Stands to reason - war fighting, nuclear rivals and all that.

Pakistan on the other hand is a positive mess in comparison. Only in control of parts of the country - the other parts inhabited by primitive tribes and safe havens for Taleban and Al-Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba and similar crap. Training camps galore. ISI ties to about every which way - maybe less these days now that General Musharraf threw in his lot with the USA after 9/11. But bureaucracies change hard, and people change even less.

If you don't think Pakistan government entities have anything to do with nasty groups working to kill civilians and government forces in Kashmir and elsewhere, read around a bit and think again.

That's some nasty stuff the current administration has to work with there. Support a government that isn't even in control of its own territory and that doesn't show much interest in getting rid of non-governmental military forces on its territory. All the while believing every god-**** conspiracy theory under the sun (add some idiotic superstition and religion as you please) as long as the ENEMY is India and Israel and the U.S.

Ugh. Good luck to the people who have to deal.
