Sephardic Ayatollah. Evil in all societies.

A spokesman for the Shas interior minister confirmed that the ministers were waiting for instructions from Rabbi Yosef. “All decisions go through the rabbi,” Roi Lachmanovitch told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
Last month, the cleric was condemned by the Anti-Defamation League for saying that “Goyim,” or non-Jews, “were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world — only to serve the People of Israel.”
In sermon broadcast on Israeli radio in August, the cleric said that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, “and all these evil people should perish from this earth.” He added, “God should strike them and these Palestinians — evil haters of Israel — with a plague.”
...

In previous years, Rabbi Yosef made headlines when he said that Hurricane Katrina “was God’s retribution” for President George W. Bush’s support of the expulsion of Israeli settlers from Gaza.
In Israel, he was most widely condemned for remarks made in 2000, when he said that Jews who died in the Holocaust had been paying for sins they had committed in previous lives.

I don't think you really need me to comment more on this crap or on this guy or the situation as it stands.

Oh wait, if I just let it stand as above then I'd be accused of anti-Semitism and nazism and all kinds of 'isms'.
For the record, then - and this is no joke, I'm 100% serious about this:
(I know that might sound sarcastic, but in fact it was not. I'm trying to be even-handed and reasonable, here. I'm fairly sure I'm succeeding, but feelings and political opinions on this are so entrenched that people have difficulty hearing the words for the beating of their pulse running through their ears.)

The dude is bad. He's a horrible racist, religious fanatic.
Plenty like him in the countries that surround Israel. In comparison to them, Israel is a shining light of democracy, freedom and the rule of law. Yay yay go go Israel! Woot woot Israel's our man - if he can't do it, no-one can! Yay Israel!
Israel has as much right to exist as any other country. They have the might to ensure their survival - both politically, alliance-wise, militarily and with a huge amount of well-connected supporters in the places that matter, i.e. Europe and northeastern United States and in the US Congress. Congratulations. Also, their culture supports innovation and service and education and equal rights for females. Win. Win. Win. Arabs - you lose. Your culture in comparison is about as strong and vibrant and dynamic as a wet blanket.

Iranian youth excepted from the above statement. They seem to have an idea about that whole modern, post-Islamic thing going on. Taqwacore and all that.
